Behind the Husstle
Because real progress comes
from doing what matters.
Husstle Performance started in a backyard—two brothers, a ball, and a deep desire to win. Matt and Michael Huss spent their childhood competing, challenging each other, and dreaming of what could be. That drive never left. It simply grew up.
Michael went on to play Division 1 soccer at Liberty University, earning Conference Player of the Year his senior season. Matt served as a graduate assistant coach for Grand Canyon University’s men’s basketball team, helping lead them to two NCAA Tournament appearances. Both experienced what it takes to compete at the next level—and both saw how many kids never get that chance.
That’s why they created Husstle.
Not every athlete will go D1, but every young athlete deserves D1-level development—training with intention, structure, and support. At Husstle, your child isn’t just running through drills. They’re being seen, coached, and cared for by people who’ve lived the journey and now want to guide others through it.
This isn’t just about sports.
It’s about building confidence, work ethic, and resilience—on and off the field.
Whether your son wants to make the varsity team or your daughter dreams of playing in college, we meet them where they are—and push them toward who they can become.
We’re not just building better athletes.
We’re helping raise stronger kids.
Welcome to Husstle.
Absolutely. Every athlete starts somewhere. Whether your child is new to training or competing at a high level, we meet them where they are and coach them with purpose. Progress is personal—and we build from the ground up.
We typically work with athletes between the ages of 10 and 18, but we also coach college athletes and motivated adults on a case-by-case basis. If your child is younger and highly engaged, we’re happy to talk about fit.
Our training is performance-based and built to enhance speed, strength, agility, and conditioning—which applies to almost any sport. We’ve coached athletes in soccer, basketball, football, baseball, softball, and more.
Yes. In addition to general athletic development, we offer basketball-specific skill sessions through Husstle Hoops and incorporate sport-specific movements into our private and group sessions depending on the athlete’s goals.
The assessment is a low-pressure opportunity for us to meet your athlete, learn about their goals, and evaluate where they are physically. From there, we recommend the right training plan—whether that’s private sessions, group training, or a mix.
It depends on their goals, season, and schedule. Most athletes train with us 2–3 times per week, with some coming in for focused sessions once a week during their season. We’ll help you build a schedule that works.
Yes—both. We offer:
• 1-on-1 private sessions for individualized focus
• Small group sessions (2–4 athletes) for shared reps with personal attention
• Large group/team sessions for off-season development or club teams
Absolutely. While we’ve trained college-bound athletes, we care just as much about helping young people grow in confidence, character, and discipline. This is a great environment for anyone who wants to improve and be coached.
Most sessions are held at our training facility in Glendale, AZ at Growth Soccer. Some specialized sessions will be held off site. Once booked, you’ll receive a confirmation with the address and what to bring.
Easy—just click [Start Your Training] or [Schedule an Assessment] on the site. Or feel free to email us directly at [email protected] with any questions. We’d love to talk with you and learn about your athlete.
Michael is awesome. He knows how to push my daughter while mantaining a positive and fun environment. WIth athletes already putting so much pressure on themselves, it's nice have a coach who knows how to get the most out of her while helping her keep a positive and motivated mindset.

Man, Michael does a great job. He clearly has an understanding of the physiology of an athlete and what is needed to build strength and speed. 10 out of 10!
- Dan
He is so fun. My son loves going. He's been sore a few times but mostly because he's working muscles he hasn't developed yet. Already seeing his speed increasing and his motivation building. I definitey recommend Husstle Performance.
